About The Author

Stan Rawls is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and currently serves as President of Palmetto Sales, a sales and marketing firm based in Charlotte, North Carolina. At heart, Stan is an entrepreneur with a passion for innovation and connection. He’s also a sports enthusiast and an avid scuba diver.

Stan and his wife, Donna, live in Charlotte and are active members of Calvary Church. Together, they founded Friends for Special Needs, a Christian non-profit ministry dedicated to sharing God’s love with individuals who face physical and intellectual challenges. Their mission is to bring joy and hope to those who cannot advocate for themselves.

One of their proudest accomplishments is the distribution of over 500 illustrated Bibles to individuals in the special needs community. Recently, the organization was honored with the “Best Faith-Based Organization” award in Charlotte, a recognition that Stan and Donna humbly attribute to God’s grace and the support of their dedicated volunteers.

After the heartbreaking loss of their only child, Kelly, Stan and Donna have found comfort and purpose in their growing community, lovingly referring to the hundreds of special needs individuals they serve as their extended family.
